Plot 14A.

30 seconds after getting out of the car at the allotment site and attaching Ginny's lead any chance of a calm walk disappeared when two squirrels came hurtling down the big oak tree right next to us, one in pursuit of the other.  Just like the foxes yesterday they were blind to our presence.  Whether it was also sexual frisson or just a domestic or territorial quarrel you could not tell as thankfully they saw us in time and reversed quickly up the tree from whence they came.  Apart from that excitement at the beginning it was much quieter - I saw a couple of snoozing foxes slink off into the shadows on hearing our approach.

One plotholder thinks his plot is on the Via Appia as he's chosen to carve Roman numerals to identify his plot.  We are required to show our plot number in case of emergency etc. but can you imagine someone on their mobile phone calling the emergency services trying to work out what number it is.
