‘Another Spectacular Sunrise’

The sun is definitely getting up earlier these days, so if I want to catch the dawn, I have to get out a bit earlier too! Today it was definitely worth it!

When I got to the top of the path up to the far end of Inverleith Park (near the North Gate) and had turned to go down again, this was the view!

Overlooking the park below, across the valley of the Water of Leith that winds through the northern part of the city, and across Edinburgh's New Town, towards - high on the horizon - the sun rising behind Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh's long extinct volcano, and Edinburgh Castle, atop a volcanic plug.

A spectacular uplifting view and a great start to the day!
