Bus Challenge No 183?

‘Threads through Creation’, Bath Abbey

“...a stunning exhibition of twelve enormous, embroidered silk panels that explore the story of Creation. Inspired by the poetic verses of Genesis, the first book in the Bible, textile artist Jacqui Parkinson re-imagines this ancient story in a vibrant combination of layers of silk, hand-dyed materials, metallic leathers and gold leaf, miles of thread – and more than eight million stitches!” Bath Abbey

Thanks to my regular Tuesday cover giving me an extra half hour, I had enough time to take the bus and spend an hour in Bath this morning, to run a few errands and visit the Abbey where I enjoyed the current exhibition, and sat quietly for a while in one of the side chapels, lighting two candles...

In extras you can see nine of the amazing panels, and some closeup details, along with other views of the Abbey, and the beautiful nativity scene that will remain in place until Candlemas on 2 February.

Total bus journey time = 56 mins (19mins going, 37mins returning!)

(It’s been so long I’ve lost count of what number Bus Challenge today was.)

Thank you so much for all your kind comments, stars and hearts for my recent blips.
