A time for everything

New knitting project

Sunday
We had our usual good morning at church and Bible study. Roger went to the gym in the afternoon, but I stayed in and did some knitting and Duolingo. Having finished the prayer shawl the other day, I have embarked on another project for our kitting ministry, this time a blanket for Project Linus, whose mission is to
“Provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need, through gifts of new handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer ‘blanketeers’ “
I would normally choose to knit these in brighter colours, but we have some donated yarn we want to use up, so maybe this will work well for a boy.
In the evening we were watching the Cincinnati Bengals playing against the Kansas City Chiefs, with the winner going to the Super Bowl. It was a close and nail biting game, especially towards the end, and unfortunately it went to the Chiefs in the end. A lot of Bengals supporters feel that there were a couple of dubious calls by the referee, but I’m no expert. I choose to be on the side of those who say, the game didn’t go the way we wanted, but the Bengals have still given us a good exciting season, and it’s over now, and time to look forward to next season.
