Checking the accuracy of the inbuilt sensors of the heated benches I have bought a couple of new thermometers.Unable to buy mercury thermometers, apparently they have been withdrawn.When did the nanny state decide on this nonsense?The new alternatives didn't agree with each other so I found one of our old mercury powered ones.

Orders this morning and cleaning in the Prop House this afternoon.

Our local Labour Council have decided it is acceptable to route all the building traffic an estimated 26000 truck movements through our rural parish.This will last about five years.The roads after just a few months are ruined, the noise and disruption intolerable.The proposed route was buried deep within the council website and the decision was taken before anyone knew about it.When a meeting was called the residents where given six minutes (timed) to make a case against it.Still we had a Christmas card from the council.I wonder if it was just a Christmas card in their brown envelope.
