there is something - about a bulb garden - which, for me, just about - sings a natural harbinger - of a springtime welcome - they’re sort of - a small introduction to - a whole new season - about to burst - forth but silently - waiting in the background

i discovered bulb gardens - a couple years ago quite - by accident not really - knowing what i was - getting but then - when it came - absolutely fell in love - with this little - tabletop garden of - flowers which come - planted for you - in a multitude of - tiny bulbs ready to - pop open in - several weeks time

since then, every season - i find myself indulging - in the purchase - of several small gardens - so i can have - fresh tiny flowers - blooming in my house - harkening to the - coming of spring - this is just - the first one - a bundle of irises - which always make it…
