The sun rose over Kawau Bay

I woke with the rising sun, although it was above the horizon and being hidden by clouds by the time I ventured outside.

I am reading the Gene Wolfe four book story of the Return of the sun; currently in the third book. He carefully writes of the hrizon moving above or below the sun, which is the correct movement. Sunrise is actually horizon fall, and this photo is obviously somewhat after the horizon moved below the sun.

No time for reading this morning, as we took books off the shelves in the main room so that we could move what we could shift into another room in the beach house. Six boxes of books were put into the children's room along with the shelves, and everything we could reasonably move.

On Tuesday the floor people will start removing the water damaged floor boards (damaged almost a year ago; no further damage with the current storms) and replacing with new ones.

There is still a lot more we have to do before we can put it on the market. Both of us are feeling great relief that these repairs are finally getting done.

We came back to Woodlands Park mid afternoon, bringing some stuff we can use here, and were visited by S' brother and his partner, bringing wine and a rhubarb crumble she had made; just needed cooking.

A nice relaxing end to what was a very busy morning and early afternoon.
