Eddie Curtis

Eddie played trombone with Linton Jazz as a 12 year old along with his older brother Tom and mother Hilary (which is already pretty awesome).  As they do, both boys moved on, but both have achieved great things, Tom is now a qualified Doctor and Eddie a professional musician playing with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra in London.

Today we welcomed Eddie back to take a rehearsal as part of out 25 year celebrations and it was brilliant to see what a capable, confident and thoroughly likeable man he has become.  Geez, I felt proud to have known him back in the day, and his Mum (my friend Hilary, still playing trombone in Linton Jazz) must be just bursting with pride. 

Here they are in the pub together after the rehearsal, which was also a really lovely chance to catch up with our fellow band members, and which we don't do very often.
