A Day In The Life

meh

I have a case of the winter doldrums today. MrsP says cabin fever. Whatever it is it will pass but for today it’s just “meh” • I tried shoveling but the ice-snow is hard as a rock. With warmer temps this week I hope to chop or remove what didn’t get cleaned up before the deep freeze hit • After a stop at the Post Office we visited the boat landing. The wind was whipping off the water making it hard to hold my camera steady. An eagle was perched in a tree across the river but left before I got a picture off. The seagulls were aplenty. Finally a female merganser appeared but she was too far away for a decent photo. meh! • In the yard we saw not one, not two, not three, but four red squirrels!! We’ve never had so many. The hungry little monkeys mostly tolerated one another but my what a ruckus of chortles and chirps! not meh! • The stellar sea eagle has returned to the midcoast of Maine after being in the Nova Scotia area. Birders are flocking in to the small rural community for a peek. The residents are complaining of the traffic and road blockages. The police are trying to keep the peace. The eagle is observing from afar not pleased with all of the commotion • Here’s to a happy and healthy week ahead!
