.... presumably a mixture of mallard and domestic duck.

We took a trip up to Claremorris - a long way to go for a voucher, but couldn't find what I was looking for in Galway.

Once our purchase was made, we had a wander around the toy shop, discussing what we might acquire this spring, as we expect to welcome youngsters to our new house in the summer.

Then, despite a slight drizzle, I walked up to Clare Lake, where there were lots of ducks and geese, including this individual.  In better weather, it would have been a nice walk around the small lake.  In extras a sign demonstrating a difference in grammar between English English and Irish English.

And then we stopped at a hotel on the outskirts of the town for a meal.  Nice food, but the service was distinctly underwhelming.  Still slightly light at 6pm when we walked back to the car - spring is coming.
