Pruning

J and P were back to work today so we set to on some jobs in their new home.  Tony spent the day in the garden thinning out some of the trees, digging out the roots and stumps and pruning the apple trees.  The remaining ones should do better this year with more air and light around them.  My job was to paint over the chewing gum pink in the integral cupboard in what is now the guest room.  It must have been a little girl's room because there was crayoning and stickers on the wall to remove before beginning the painting.  I put on an initial coat and after lunch popped to the supermarket to stock up for a veggie chilli for dinner.

Tony finally came in as it grew too dark to work in the garden.  Tomorrow he will do a dump run and call in at a local garden centre (there are several close by!) to pick up some bits and pieces whilst I put a second coat on the cupboard.

A summer job will be to repaint the garden fence, and there's a lot of it!

This evening we have reached the end of the first series of Andor.  Last night's Happy Valley was tense and brilliant from the off!  Time for bed now.
