The Dower House at Fawsley.

This wonderful old ruin is in Fawsley Park and can be seen from the edge of Badby Woods but isn't on a public footpath (nearest is part of The Knightly Way).
Formerly a Hunting Lodge, it is thought to be the oldest brick-built building in the country. Fawsley Hall was the ancestral seat of the Knightly family until the baronetcy died out in 1938.
The Hall has since been fully restored and is now a luxury hotel and spa (where I am about to head off to for a facial). The poor Dower House is grade 2 listed but will surely crumble completely. Very sad. The chimneys have the most amazing twisted brickwork. The tower is giving The Leaning Tower of Pisa a good competition!
The weather was quite dull but I got a few pictures of the woods but thought I'd share this one with you - the bluebells will open up more over the weekend and I'll blip them again then. :-)
