The Blackball Hilton

Or at least Formally Known as The Blackball Hilton after the hotel chain decided the original name had to be changed.
This building it is said is where the New Zealand Labour Party was formed and the Union movement was also said to have started here.
The town of Blackball was a mining town and when the pits closed it almost wiped the town out but there was a Hippie invasion and today it is still active.

Day two was the ride home with two guys needing to go direct the other five of us had a run down the west coast heading through Blackball to Reefton the home via Springs Junction some 544 kms.
The roller were coming in on the west coast as always although not the biggest I have seen but they made a good Extra.

The bike needs a bath!
