Grey Heron

The aggressive male met me at the dovecote again. He got his feed then flew back to the water. He is probably the youngest one of the gang. I went round the path and got stopped by a couple of dog walkers who were interested the heron. Unfortunately them being there put off the heron. When they moved on the rest of the gang appeared along with the one in today's shot who appeared and had a feed but was not welcomed by the passive female. I am not sure if this is the young one back or not. She is about the right age and the plumage on her head is what I would expect. I was never sure I would instantly recognise her as the others get up close as well. I will just have to see how things develop.
