Budda

The corner of the garden that dad has been working away on for the past few days was obviously intended to be some sort of meditation garden.  However with three trees crammed into the corner next to two apples, next to a weepy tree and another two unidentified ones round the other corner, there wasn't really enough room for any of them.  And the Budda statue and rock with a hole in the top were very much in the shade.  Dad has done a great job of clearing some of the trees, chopping back the rowan, and he even made a lovely little rock garden for the big stone and the Budda.  Going to need to think about what to do with the space now! Was lovely to have mum and dad round for a few days and they've done an awful lot of work for us - it's appreciated you two!

It's been a few long weeks at work so I treated myself to a swim and a sit-and-be-hot in the sauna whilst P was at college this evening.  There was a rather large group of kids in the pool playing Marco Polo, which seemed to consist of them shouting "MARCO!" and "POLO" at the top of their lungs and not much else.  I felt a bit sorry for the lifeguard who had put up with it longer than me, then as soon as the kids got ushered out of the pool, it was time for a shift switch over and some other guy got to look out for the pool with about 4 adults in doing some quiet lengths...
