Remembering

I walked again today, and got a bit further down the hill. I had hoped there would be more to see in the gardens, but the best display was these crocus in the house next door but one to ours. I needn’t have gone all that way!
I am getting bad at remembering birthdays and sometimes miss the post and end up sending an on line message. So how could it be that when I registered the date this morning I remembered that it was my paternal grandfather’s birthday? He died in 1958 so it is quite a long time since it needed to register with me. I have put his photo in extra. He was a plumber who worked in Chatham Dockyard. He had strong political views which took him on to the local council and he ended up being Mayor of Gillingham.
