On The Rock

A miserable day of sleeting snow and slush. Even after it stopped, it was dull, cold and windy. When I shot this I wasn't hopeful, I upped the iso to cope with wind vibrations, but not successfully. Topaz Sharpen AI to the rescue!

I think what attracted me here was the blue ice in contrast to the warm orange of the rock. It also basically comes down to three shapes, with the rock making a nice guzzinto into the blue ice shape.

The word guzzinto came from a Dutch painter I studied with who said it was the name for a bush, a useful device to break up an unhelpful shape. Probably made it up, but I didn't forget it.
