Behind The Ash Tree

This little scene caught my attention immediately and I stopped in my tracks to photograph it. I think I was attracted by the bright blue of the snow beyond the shadow of the ash tree, which seemed to make the orange reeds glow in the afternoon sun. Thank goodness today was brighter after yesterday's gloom. Quite pleasant in the sun despite being just below freezing.
