Hillside

Back from York and staying at Elaine’s tonight.
We walked across Soldiers Field and down through Gledhow Woods in the Little Switzerland area and then up to Chapel Allerton.
Did some shopping for provisions and l got two cards for upcoming birthdays at my favourite card shop there. 
We had a coffee then decided to walk back as it was such a lovely spring day ( we usually catch the bus).
This bench has been slowly deteriorating for a couple of years now, a shame that it’s not been replaced or repaired as l’m sure someone might find it a welcome respite as they go up this hill.

I swear the crocus at Soldiers Field had doubled in size on our return!
