"Feather dusters"

These ostriches came trotting up when I walked past their field today.
 
They look like “feather dusters”; at the same time they appear to be giant pets, friendly, inquisitive and so delicate.
 
As a struggling vegetarian it came as a nasty shock when M said he noticed our local supermarket are selling ostrich fillet steaks.
 
Seems there is a fad for exotic meats but thankfully its diminishing. Except our regular supermarket,  Sainsbury's , is the only one left that sells them.
No, we wont be buying any.
