Summerheath, JFK and some fancy gates

A beautiful spring-like day. The spaniel and I continued our exploration of the Turville valley. Another morning when we walked seven miles and saw more Muntjac deer (3) than people (2). There were great swathes of winter aconite and snowdrops in Summerheath Woods near the hamlet of Turville Heath where our walk took us past the fabulous Turville Grange (sold last year for £19 million!). It used to be owned by Henry Ford II and later by Jackie Kennedy's sister. It has a 'guest house' for visitors called 'the White House' which is where JFK and the First Lady used to stay. I was going to photograph the front, which has very ornate wrought iron gates (a gift from Queen Alexandra, they are a replica of the gates at Sandringham), but the driveway was being repaired. I'll try to do it next time I'm passing.
