Looking down.

Following on from my journal entry yesterday, todays goings on has again reduced me to tears, the devastation only become more apparent today as the rain stopped, the winds dropped and helicopters were able to be airborne. They have rescued multiple people from rooftops today, there are still 14000 people still out of contact, and there are grave fears for some of them.  Four people have lost their lives.  Hawkes Bay is the worst area affected at the moment, none of my words can even start to convey what has happened and what is ahead of these communities … they are talking in excess of  ten billion, repairing the infrastructure, communications and power will take its toll on all of us.

Thanks Jensphotos for hosting and your theme for Wide Wednesday of “looking down”.

Edit a little later……if there hasn’t been enough, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake just north of Wellington. Oh dear.
