ALMOST AN ABSTRACT

Angus & I took the long way around on our walk, this morning. It was cold & windy, but low & behold,
the BAILEY’S ACACIA is blooming. Seeing it was our reward for walking so far. I posted it last year, but could not resist sharing it.

This tree is also called
COOTAMUNDRA WADDLE, after the Australian island area where it grows
naturally. (great name!) It is growing far, far from its home, in my neighborhood;
but it makes my heart sing to see these purplish blue leaves & masses of yellow flowers. It is considered to be a messy & sometimes invasive tree; so it is growing in the perfect place, along the sidewalk.

Angus & I took a glorious nap, in the afternoon. Now we are sitting by the
fireplace….
