New Blue Ice with Bonus Flurries

Well, I'll say this for sure: the twists and turns in the central Pennsylvania weather this past week could give you whiplash, for sure! We had springlike conditions for a couple of days and then real February returned with a vengeance.

Winds blew. Temperatures dropped. Ice began to form again on the ponds. Here is a shot of new blue ice full of fun frosty patterns and a couple of bonus snow flurries on my favorite vernal pond in the Scotia Barrens. Yes, I wore my big coat!

The soundtrack song is this one: Dar Williams, with Blue Light of the Flame.
