Zimbabwe nude

Walking back to work at lunchtime, I waited patiently for the lights to change at a pedestrian crossing and spotted this body merging into Zimbabwe House.

The building housed the British Medical Association when it was first constructed in 1908 and the 18 nude statues on the building were sculpted by Jacob Epstein. They caused a bit of an uproar at the time and were deemed offensive to the Edwardian society.

There's more about Epstein here.

Later on, I went out for a drink with my work colleagues and chatted about the long weekend to come. Fun!
