Nature Diary... Signs of Spring
A calm but grey day following a beautifully mild sunny day yesterday which the new flowers in the garden seemed to enjoy. In the big planters there are signs of Little Red Riding Hood miniature tulips slowly emerging from the soil with pretty little Tete-a-tete daffodils mixed in with them, all survivors from last year. The violas, which have been protected overnight and during exceptionally stormy cold weather, are bursting with flowers ready to be photographed in a day or two. Peeking through the untended part of our garden new life is pushing its way through the soil ready to surprise us, as did the self-seeded flowers in the photographs.
Google informs me that the first day of Spring is in 28 days. Here's hoping it brings with it a many months of good weather.
