Jackfruit

Jackfruit char siu on quinoa with quick pickled carrots and an egg. Wine: Antisto Cahors 2019.

This is my first experience with jackfruit (from a recipe by Andrea Nguyen). I thought it was decent, though my husband declared it just edible. Facing the difficult question of what wine to pair with Chinese flavors, I settled on a French Malbec, which worked well enough.
