But, then again . . . . .

A Present From George.

We spent the morning packing some of The Old Lady's treasures into bags and boxes, and the afternoon decanting them into the new flat. It was an exhausting day for all of us.

When we arrived, this vase of flowers and the card were waiting for TOL - a welcome to her new home. It was a nice gesture and the card continued the owl theme
George is the team leader (what a horrible expression) for TOL's floor, he looks just about old enough to leave school but his competence belies his youthful looks and that gesture was his responsibility.

The original plan was for TOL to stay there tonight but, when it came to the crunch, she decided against it on the grounds that everything had been a bit sudden. A day here or there won't make any difference and it is a big move. There are still some important issues to resolve such as: does she really need to take three winter coats or all those size twenty clothes when she is now size eight?
I'm sure reality will cut in soon, it's still early days.
