There's them as knows ... and then ...

There's them as doesn't.
It has been a trifle dam-pish: about 1" over night, bouncing of the pavement all morning, it read about 1.5" and at close of play we were " a midge's willy" short of 2".
It must have been rather damp for Cumbria to get a mensh on National Radio traffic report.
In a search for some Arran wool, we had a "fly" out to the Alpaca centre, I don't suppose I need tell you lot that's "center".
(I can never understand why a certain holiday site is spelt as if the "Center" was owned by America and the "Parcs" were owned by France.)
Needless to say She wasn't successful, they had alpaca wool and Double knitting, but no Arran.
We did come away with an Alpaca Quilt, report on toggishness to follow.

OH! The "Pidjins"? In the morn came the bed-raggled specimen, in the p.m. as it got drier came the cunning pair, who obviously had a well covered over lurkery. The feeding troughs were so full of rain as to be unable to use as a rain gauge, it was bouncing out as fast as it went in.
