55/365 Ferry

Oh dear, what a day.

We took the Interislander ferry from Wellington on North Island to Picton on South Island, eventually!

We had booked for the 08.30 crossing but were told that it had been changed to 13.00. We got there at just after 11.00 and at 13.00 were asked if we had received notification that it was delayed until 15.00, err no we hadn’t been told.
Advised at 15.30 that it would now leave at 16.30 which it didn’t! Eventually left at 17.10.

So we lost a day and arrived at Blenheim at 21.45. Nice hotel though and looking forward to tomorrow.

Blip taken from the ferry as we entered the inlet leading to Picton after crossing Cook Strait. Scenery was wonderful.
