Out of hibernation

It’s just after 11.30pm on Saturday and I’ve just come in from my garden where I was putting out some fox food. I had been topping up the hedgehog food during the mild spell we just had, but tonight, in freezing weather, I found this hedgehog in the feeding box. He looks big enough to cope with the cold. Quite a lot of hedgehog food had been eaten, and I see he had spilt some water.

I wonder if he would like some turnips?
