Glorious!

What an amazing day! After a low of -2.6 overnight the day has been sunny and bright and still is!

We went up to Appin before lunch and had a walk over the Jubilee Bridge , a long wooden footbridge over the saltmarsh. We then went on to have lunch at the café overlooking Castle Stalker, sitting looking out at the wonderful view. Quite amazing.

On the way back we stopped for a quick whizz round Kinlochlaich Garden Centre - OK, just me - and then drove a few yards up the road to explore the ancient Appin graveyard. The old church is a ruin, but at the front is a tall memorial stone brought from Culloden Moor,  commemorating the 92 local men who died fighting the British - or English if you prefer - in 1746! A very special place, with many local gravestones,  surrounded by snowdrops and backed by hills - my extra today.

Came home mid-afternoon and I sat on the deck with a cuppa - and no jacket - for the first time this winter!
