Train drivers

This morning we went for an overdue train journey that we should have had in the Christmas break on a steam train near us. The engine had broke over Christmas, hence the delay, and slight disappointment to turn up today and fine it was still out of action, and that we had a trip on a heritage diesel train. That said, it was alovely morning out, the boys had a fab time exploring some of the restored engines and loved the model railway. The youngest was very upset about not being allowed a tube of smarties from the buffet trolley, although he did get some for the return trip- and was still saying how happy he was to have had them at the end of the day. Grandpa joined us for the trip and it was lovely to have a morning out together. 

The afternoon was spent in the garden for the husband and boys, which was great, I sorted se things in the house and got a run, and had time to cook roast dinner. 

Tired, happy family this evening.
