I had no intention of finding any art in this photographer's work before arriving at the Hauser & Wirth site outside Bruton today, but he was quite beguiling.  This diptych is called "Pipe Cleaner Artist, Amalfi, '61" and is, I believe, satirical.  The write-ups gave no real idea of the impression the images make when you view them (and their use of English was poor), so I'm glad that we went.

The restaurant at the place is pretty pricey (and good) so we went cheapskate and had a brunch before lunchtime (Extra), the bacon was barbequed and the pepper on the egg, crunchy and delicious.  The bun was a ghastly brioche (why brioche all over the place?) but that didn't spoil the effect.
