Quod oculus meus videt

R and I took on another section of the Two Saints Way today, from Stone to Stafford, about 11 miles.  It started with drizzle but we had some good weather as well during the walk that took us along the Trent and Mersey Canal, before turning off at Salt,  across fields and into the county town.

We stopped in Hopton, at a convenient bench and lit up the Jetboil for a coffee; something we were in the habit of doing on our long distance walks on the Coast to Coast and West Highland Way, giving us the nickname from fellow walkers of the cafetière boys.

In the end we completed the walk in about 5 hours with breaks.  I saw my first lambs of the season and also found a most ornate canal bridge (see extras).  All in all a good day and set up for future walks along the Way.
