Starters

I had to make a raita as my Syrian Carrot dip was quite spicy. (Above)

The electrician was due to come between 9-11am and didn’t appear till 2pm but at least he fixed the damage done by the plasterers so we are all done now. It’s so good to have the furniture back where it should be and the conservatory useful again instead of being full of furniture.

Andrea and Pete were here tonight for supper. I made the above starter, then we had Broccoli cake and salad followed by a white chocolate and ginger cheesecake. They enjoyed it all. She’s got an exhibition on at the Aga Khan Centre in Kings Cross. I’d love to get down for that and the Hockney but doubt we’ll have time before it closes.

#3 daughter was on strike and at the demo in town today. )Strikes in Scotland too but niece won’t strike.) Daughter took Ella and her friend Ella L. They’d had a sleepover and pretended to be asleep at midnight but daughter heard them at 3 am.
