High point

I passed through the village of Headley this afternoon, one of the highest villages in Surrey. The spire of the nineteenth century church can be seen from miles around, high above the surrounding countryside. It was a cold dark afternoon, but even so the birds were singing joyfully.
I was taking a rural route home from visiting N in hospital. It was school finishing time and the traffic can be horrendous so I came home on back roads, much less traffic.
