Back into Abu Dhabi Police Traffic Happiness Centre to enquire if my fine had been cancelled. 

The Captain checked, between breakfast and tea break. He did offer me coffee and eventually after 90 minutes, said hopefully cancelled, come back next Tuesday. I am quite hopeful as Inshallah was not used. 

Just the Dubai one to chase up.
