Watery Sun

This picture is fairly representative of the day, which was cold, windy, and raining.
Rose and I went for a walk with Rusty the Irish Terrier after breakfast, partly to take Rusty’s mind off the fact that his owner Claire was disappearing, leaving him to stay the week with Rose. It worked well and when we got home he seemed to settle in straight away. He has stayed here before and probably has good memories because Rose loves walking so he got lots of long walks last time.  However, while we were walking the skies opened and we all got very wet.
The rest of the day has been spent at home, reading and wondering if we needed to light a fire!  In the end I put a thick jumper on. We can’t have a fire - it’s summer now!!!
PS  Somehow I missed posting this picture at the time, and now it's 8 months later. Anyway, better late than never for my daily picture collection!
