Green Woodpecker

A fairly cold grey day today.  I headed out first thing this morning for a sprint cycle class and then later in the morning for a Pilates one.  I drove back from Pilates to Otterton where I met up with my husband who was out on a bike ride.  We had lunch together there and I browsed the gift shop for a birthday present for a friend.  My husband beat me back home.

In the afternoon I spotted this green woodpecker in the field behind our garden, it was probably looking for ants or other insects and seems to have found something for it was there for awhile slowly walking around.
