Silly Saturday

We have never been great screen viewers here and were silly enough to not watch Downton Abbey when it came out, probably 10 years ago now.
Having recently discovered we had Series 1 on a hard disc from somewhere we enjoyed it. We then found that the rest of the episodes are available at the local library on DVD. It was so long since we had played one it took quite a while to figure out how to make it all work again the other night. 
We mastered changing the TV to HDMI3 but failed to get the remote going, even with a new battery. 
Tonight we discovered why - we were using an old remote from another machine. Silly!
