Nibble.

A city is not an accident but the result of coherent visions and aims.

-- Leon Krier, The Architecture of Community

Well, I am not sure who designed this ugly-assed building, or if they'd even admit to it, but the eyesore that is Tayside House is in the process of being demolished as part of the regeneration plans for Dundee's waterfront.

However, due to it being slap bang in the middle of a main thoroughfare, the building can't just be knocked down. Instead, it is being dismantled bit by bit - or eaten or nibbled as us locals say, slowly but surely. The air down there yesterday was full of building dust drifting in all directions. Just sitting at the traffic lights, the car got covered. Today though, the cranes and diggers stood still and the city could breathe again.

Not like in Glasgow where things just get blown up or turned into adverts for Sony TV's. Kerching!
