For Today, And Few More Days

Bad weather today, no getting out. At zero, hard wind and snowing or sleeting.

Quiet day, some paper works. Mr S cooked for the weekend. This time macaroni casserole of healthier whole wheat macaroni with minced meat, champignon mushrooms and some replacement for minced meat, vegetable protein product consisting of Finnish fava beans. Traditional Finnish food.

In 1892, making a macaroni casserole was part of the thesis of the students of the Culinary School in Helsinki. Originally, no meat was added to the dish. Macaroni casserole became common in Finland in the 1950s and in the 2020s was one of the country's most popular home dishes. A grocery consern brand says the dish has been invented in Finland, and that it has no counterparts in other countries. Who knows.

This in the picture was delicious as always.

After writing this I'll have a phone call to my mother.
