Goosing around.

A grey day, and cold.
Called for the Yorkshire Post plus a few bits and pieces. Then drove to the next village for a walk round the pond.
Now 4 Canada geese. No sign of any nest building yet.
Also called at the farm for some eggs, only to find a sign which said “ Sorry sold out. More at 10am tomorrow “. This is the first time ever that they have sold out. Another lady was waking down to the farm and I told her they had sold out until tomorrow. She also said “ That is a first”
I wonder if this is because of a shortage at Supermarkets, and so people are turning to local farm shops.
Fortunately I didn’t need any today, so will go back for some more tomorrow. Expect a queue!

This afternoon we called to see a friend who we haven’t seen since December, only to be told by her husband that she was calling to see us this afternoon! So back home and she popped in a few minutes later. Fortunately I had baked a fruit cake, so it went down well with a cuppa, and we had a good natter and catchup. Glad that her knee operation, which she had three months ago, has been a success, and she is now driving again, and walking better.
