The Late Wild Garlic

The sun eventually came out this evening so rather than confronting the backlog of domestic tasks, I took the dog on our favourite walk.

The wood is a carpet of bluebells and wild garlic. The smell of garlic fills the air.

Last year the garlic was in flower three weeks earlier, when I blipped it, on that day, 29th April I brought some plants home and put them in the garden. I am pleased to report they have thrived and on my return this evening I chopped some of the leaves to make garlic butter to go with a home made beef burger - Delicious.
