Waiting

We had a snow free day. I was kicking myself when we got to Vallejo for not taking the camera  - we got there plenty early and the late afternoon light was streaming into the 1918 theatre building. Oh well, the phone had to suffice.
The production was Gounod’s Faust - by the “amateur” opera company Opera Verismo. Amateur in the sense that they’re not being paid for it, but these are absolutely professional level voices, fabulous acting and singing, an orchestra, costumes, lighting - the whole shebang for $20, and close up and personal too in the little theatre. Everybody should go, even if they think they don't like opera! And if you're in the Bay Area, you still can, as they're doing it all again next weekend.
