On our way to watch Sleeping Beauty

Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty with Ashley Shaw as Aurora. Ashley taught Carys back last summer and when I couldn't find casting for the Sadlers Wells dates I contacted her via Instagram and asked if she knew when she would be playing Aurora. Amazingly she replied, saying they only get their casting a week in advance but can put in requests. She remembered Carys and told me to book tickets for a date that suited us, let her know and she would request to dance that night especially for Carys.

And magically that's what happened, Carys was beside herself and so happy to be able to say thank you to Ashley in person at stage door.
