This is not as large at its base as I'd imagined - I failed to take account of insulation at the party-wall end.

Look at the smoothness and think about the space the plasterer had to work in (a full size tile-width is 300mm so it's about a metre by 700mm). To paint it, the site manager sent their slightest labourer up a ladder on a scaffold-base over the bath. He's about half my size and I had visions of child sweeps going up Victorian chimneys. Dealing with future spiders' webs will be up to me. 

I think this might have been a foolish notion of mine but I still love it, even though I've realised that since I do not wear my glasses in the bath I will never see the stars above.
