Stickler

As I approached this crow was busy with a stick on the ground. When I got nearer to the bird it flew onto a fence taking the stick with it. It then continued to fashion it, pulling bits off. I'm guessing that it was getting it just right to add to its nest.

Nest building is the name of the game at the moment. I stood and watched two pairs of great crested grebes making theirs. Progress wasn't very quick as they kept stopping to bob, mirror and fish.
