The Hooded Crow

The talk at the Museum this morning was on marine life in Torbay, in particular Blennies. The theme of this talk was there is more to this fish than meets the eye.

Blennies - ‘the small fish with the big personality’ - The Guardian
‘Look like a clown but nobody’s fool’ - Daily Express
‘Glam Rocks’ - BBC Wildlife
Doctor Paul Naylor was amusing as well as informative, with photographs and film taken in the bay, illustrating the habits of this little fish.
We stopped on the seafront opposite Abbey Sands on the way home, looking for a Hooded Crow, recently seen there, near the ancient oak.
As usual our twitching episode was not successful. This bird had flown.
